The Garmin Helm™ application provides a valuable tool for mariners looking to enhance their navigation experience. It allows users to connect an Android™ phone or tablet to compatible Garmin GPSMAP® chartplotters, specifically the 5x7, 7x1, 8x0, 10x0, 7400/7600, and 8600 series that feature built-in Wi-Fi. When using this application with the GPSMAP 8000 series, it is necessary to have the Garmin Marine Wi-Fi Adapter (sold separately) for optimal connectivity. Please note that the latest firmware update for the chartplotter is required for functionality.
